Lean-in Partner Visit: Frauenservice

Note: This event is formally offered in beginner-level German, but support in English can be provided.

Sara C. will accompany the group to this event, which gives you the chance to visit the Frauenservice Graz. This important IWA partner organization provides information about your rights as a woman in Austria, access to the job market, recognition of training/education certificates, women’s health, democratic representation and participation, and many other topics.

At this special event, the Frauenservice will kick-off their “Lehrgang für Integrationswissen und interkulturelle Kompetenzen”, which runs September through December, meeting every Thursday. Taking part in this project can be especially helpful for women who are new in Austria and would like to learn more about:

• organizations that provide support for women in Graz and Austria
• get to know other international women facing similar integration challenges
• practice their German
• get important tips that can help smooth the integration process in Austria
• talk to experts
• go on interesting excursions together

You are not required to continue the course after this initial event, but are welcome to continue if you like it. Participation is free and no registration is required!
