DESCRIPTION:Spring is here and it’s time to clean out those closets! \nBut what to do with all those sorted-out clothes?? \nJust bring your bag of women’s or children’s: \n\nclothes (tops\, pants\, skirts\, dresses\, sweaters\, pjs …all seasons ok)\njackets\, snowsuits\nshoes\naccessories\n\nto our yearly Clothes Swap\, and swap them for a bag (or two…) of brand-new (to you) clothes! \nWant to help us make a party of it? Simply bring along a snack or something to drink to share. \nIWA members and guests welcome. \nDon’t have clothes to swap? No problem\, just  come join us for a fun\, social event. \nWe’ll need some help setting up (4:30-5 pm) and breaking down (7-7:30 pm): Please help out \nAll clothes etc. left over after the sale will be donated to the Beehive shop (Seddwell Center’s second hand and design shop in Rösselmühlgasse). \n*The IWA is proud that this activity will help to support two Global Goals (Sustainable Development Goals) adopted by the United Nations: SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the September Coffee Morning at Café Fotter. Café Fotter is one of the oldest cafes in Graz. It was\nfounded in 1936 and has lived through a few owners and renovations\, but it is still a charming old-fashioned\nAustrian café. There is a wonderful rose garden behind the house\, if the weather is nice\, we will be siting\noutside. \nHOW TO GET THERE \nAttemsgasse is a one-way street with access from the Goethestrasse (University) or Villefortgasse.\nBy public transportation: from JAKOMIPLATZ take bus 39 to Wirtschaftskammer or bus 31 to Uni/RESOWI\nand get out at the stop Zinzendorfgasse. Walk north along Glacisstrasse (the way the bus was heading) two\nblocks. Turn right into Attemsgasse\, you will see the café on the right side of the road.\nFrom HAUPTBAHNHOF take bus 58 to Mariagrün or bus 63 to Schulzentrum St. Peter get out at Geidorfplatz.\nWalk one block south on the left side of Glacisstrasse to Attemsgasse. Turn left into Attemsgasse\, you will see\nthe café on the right side of the road. Buses 41 and 63 also stop nearby\, get out at Attemsgasse and walk down\nthe Attemsgasse. The café is on the left side of the road.\nBy car: park in the blue zone in Attemsgasse or Harrachgasse. \n  \nHISTORY OF THE CAFÉ \nThe history of Café Fotter starts with Mr. Anton Fotter\, who launched a bakery in Feldkirchen (Carinthia) in\n1902.\nThe Fotter family then moved to Graz (Styria) in 1936\, where they founded Anton Fotter's Bakery at\nAttemsgasse 6. A memory from the bakery is still visible right next to the Café's entry\, where two big marble\nsigns advertise various delicious bakery products from Anton Fotter's company. Inside Café Fotter you can still\nsee the bakeries original cash register as well as its shop interior.\nIn 1972 Getraud Fotter founded Café Fotter as an addition to bakery. It is one of the oldest\, authentic Cafés in\nGraz that has kept its original flair. The original 1930s interior as well as the Café's romantic rose garden offer\nthe perfect location for relaxation in the heart of the city.\nIn 2012 Beatrix Frodl and Jördis Waldhuber-Orac took over the proprietorship of the Café Fotter\, preserving the\noriginal charm of the Café with homemade pastries and cakes\, baked fresh daily\, as well as selected culinary\ndelights and Austrian coffee specialities.\nIn 2016 Franz Reiter and Simon Hauzenberger took over the proprietorship of the Café Fotter. They renovated\nthe Café\, but it still has that old-fashioned feel.

The decorations and floral bouquets at Lederleitner are unique and special\, so you can also enjoy browsing…maybe you will find a special gift for someone or yourself! \nHow to get there: \nBy public transportation: from Jakominiplatz take tram 1 to Mariatrost and get out at the stop “Hilmteich”. The Hilmteichschlössel is across the street and to the left. You can enter the\ncafé from the street or the path at the pond. By car: park in the green zone in Hilmteichstrasse or the Schubertstrasse. \nBy bike: From the Glacisstraße\, turn into the Zinsendorfgasse and ride to the roundabout at the university (Sonnenfelsplatz). Take the 3rd exit to enter Schubertstrasse. At the end of the Schubertstrasse (where it joins the Hilmteichstrasse)\, you will see the Hilmteichschlössel on the right. Park to the right of the building near the Hilmteich (pond).

We are hoping for nice weather\, so we will sit outside. \nHow to get there? \nBy public transportation: take tram 3 toward Krenngasse from the JAKOMIPLATZ or HAUPTPLATZ. Get out at the end station KRENNGASSE. The café is in the building in front to the left of the tram stop. \nBy car: park your car in the blue zone around the Schillerplatz. Attention: quite a few streets in this area are one-way streets. \nBy bike: from the Glacistrasse bike path\, turn into Rechbauerstrasse and follow Rechbauerstrasse to Krenngasse (at the roundabout). Turn left into Krenngasse and follow Krenngasse to the Schillerplatz. The café is on your right. \nYour hostess will be Bettina D.
