COMING SOON:
Visitors from Stockholm, May 2008
We are hosting a visit from 20 to 30 Swedish ladies coming from the
International Women's Club in Stockholm. They will be in Graz from
Friday, 23rd of May until Tuesday, 27th May and there will be
activities organized for them and IWA members every day. Keep any eye
on this website or look in your GW for further information.
Walking in and around Graz
As a new member of the
International Women of Graz I would like to
organise some walks.
I know Penny and Eduard Baierl explore the hills and the
countryside on a Saturday or Sunday but I want
to organise some walks during the
week. After 8 years living in England I
can tell you that I walked many miles over public foothpaths in good old
England. I was a member of the Harrogate Ramblers and I really did some
fantastic walks, every season the views and scenery are different. The
country side is the biggest
gym and it doesn’t cost you a penny. It is a good
way to get some exercise and to socialise,
walk and talk I live in Mariatrost and
discovered that there are some beautiful walks in
this part of Graz.
Hopefully some of you are able to
join me (I have noticed that quite
some of our members work during the
week). I will try out some different days
and hopefully we can find out what is
the best time to go out together.
The first walk on Weds, 12th March was a great success.
We enjoyed some lovely sunny weather. See below for the ladies taking a
rest at the halfway point:
